RedSpeed™ USA cameras make innovative use of digital technology.
We highly recommend the use of road-based Piezo strip sensors embedded in the road to detect the presence of vehicles. These sensors offer lane specific data allowing our systems to monitor multiple lanes simultaneously. Embedded sensors are less likely to be affected by external factors such as moving shutters or signage and can therefore allow a greater confidence in the accuracy of the offence data. However, where local ordinances prevent the use of in-road sensors, we have developed above ground video detection capable of working to equally high standards.
